Frequently Asked Questions

What is Semi Permanent Make Up?

Permanent Make-up has long been one of the beauty industries best-kept secrets, now the secrets out, it is fast becoming one of the most popular beauty treatments of today. More and more women, and indeed Men, are opting for Permanent Cosmetic Enhancements which allow them to look more attractive and polished, with little or no effort, every day of the year.

Micro-pigmentation, semi-permanent makeup, cosmetic tattoo, permanent creation these are all different terms used for the same procedure, the process of infusing hypoallergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin where they create a shadow of colour that mimics the appearance of makeup leaving a beautifully natural defined look. This procedure can be used to enhance client´s features with permanent eyeliner, eyebrows, lip liner & full lip colour. Dependant on the client and personal preference, this can be either a dramatic look that gives a full make-up look or a subtle enhancement to create a very soft & natural look.

How could I benefit from semi-permanent makeup?

That’s easy, it is a procedure that can raise your self-esteem and self-confidence and make a remarkable difference to your life! It will enhance your own natural beauty and rejuvenate your looks saving you time and effort on a daily basis!

How long will the procedure take?

Each procedure will take about an hour to two hours. Prior to the treatment, you will have a consultation at which time the shape and colour are discussed and then drawn on. This part is never rushed, it is imperative that you are happy before the commencement of treatment, then just sit back and relax!

How do I choose the right colour?

Starting with dozens of basic pigment colours, virtually any shade can be mixed by Debbie to complement your own hair colour or skin tone. Debbie Clifford will advise you as best she can. Each individual retains a different amount of colour, the final result, if not perfect, can be adjusted with a free ‘touch-up’ appointment within 3 months after the initial treatment.

Does the procedure hurt?

As every individual is different the levels of discomfort will vary. In order to minimise any sensation, topical anaesthetics are applied prior to and during the procedure in order to make the treatment as comfortable and pain-free as possible.

What can I expect from the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, the area will appear darker than the final results will be, this will fade within a few days. Aftercare instructions are given to you with regard washing, creams etc. After a week the area may appear to have faded completely, this is because the area is covered with dead skin which is opaque. The true result is a month later.

Is semi-permanent make-up expensive?

Compared with any other cosmetic enhancements, for example, dermal fillers and Botox which have to be renewed every 6-9 months, permanent make-up is a comparatively low-cost option. Debbie’s prices are very competitive which make these treatments more affordable for everyone!
